Taste the sea with Old Pulteney

02/05/1999

Get a real taste of the sea at one of the largest maritime events in Europe with Old Pulteney 12 year old single malt whisky.

Focusing on Scotland’s maritime heritage, the International Festival of the Sea (23-26 May) is a celebration of all things maritime and what better way to enjoy such a festival than with a dram of the Genuine Maritime Malt.

Sampling activity will take place throughout the Festival at the Old Pulteney Stand (C4/27) located within the tented village in the West Zone. Visitors will be able to get a taste of this premier malt, which will also be sold from the stand – the perfect souvenir to take home from a maritime event.

The whisky’s rich maritime heritage and close connections to Scotland’s herring fishing boom of the 19th century sit perfectly with this Festival. “With its seafaring links and maritime connections, Old Pulteney is the perfect complement to the event being held at Edinburgh’s Port of Leith,” says Margaret Mary Timpson, Brand Manager for Old Pulteney, adding that the malt is proud to be associated with the Festival.
