Pirates Ready to Hit Scotland

12/12/2000

Watch out from November, Inver House Distillers, producer of Old Pulteney Single Malt Whisky is due to set Old Pulteney Pirates loose in pubs across Scotland.

The pirates were launched as part of the biggest ever marketing campaign. Pubs can take the opportunity to take part in a free prize draw to win their own free Pirate Night worth £500. The Pirates are inspired by tales of 17th century looters, who ravaged the shores of Wick, home of Pulteney Distillery. For outlets who take part, the night will involve the three female pirates, helping to brand the pub and running sampling activities. In addition to free product for customers the Pirates will run a prize promotion which will give customers the chance to win Old Pulteney merchandise.

Margaret Mary Timpson, Brand Manager for Old Pulteney commented, "The Pirate activity is one of our main areas of focus this year. As a brand, this is our first major move into the on trade market and we are confident that once both publicans and their customers sample Old Pulteney, they'll just keep coming back for more"
