WK499 The Isabella Fortuna

WK499 is named after the last remaining herring fishing boat – The Isabella Fortuna. All boats from Wick are identified by the letters ‘WK’. The WK499 was launched in 1890 and sailed around the north east coast for 86 years. She was acquired in 1977 by the Wick Society, where she remains to this day; the last drifter in Wick Harbour. Matured in American ex-bourbon casks.

APPEARANCE: Bright light gold.

AROMA: Light brown sugar and sweet coconut, with rich creamy toffee, balanced by green apples, lemon and mandarin notes.

TASTE: Sweet, soft and delicately complex with chewy vanilla and warm spices, with a lingering warm finish
